So if you don’t know me, I have been a Beachbody Coach since 2011. I have tried basically ALL the fitness programs that have came out around that time and later. To name a few:
Insanity, P90X, P90X2, P90X3, Turbo Fire, Turbo Jam, ChaLean Extreme, Brazil Butt Lift, T25, 21 Day Fix, 21 Day Fix Extreme and now my latest one to try was Hammer and Chisel! It just got released in December and I wanted to wait to start it till I could order a workout bench and be fully ready since we are going on the Beachbody Success Club cruise in March!
I ended up LOVING this program! After starting into fitness I have learned that I absolutely love to lift! I’m a small girl so I can’t lift a lot lol, but I feel like my body responds best when I lift weights and there is some resistance involved. Insanity was my true soul mate workout, then I tried T25 after I had my first son and dropped 18 pounds and 20″ and that of course became my new soul mate workout because it was only 25 minutes and I got crazy results! Well, then came 21 Day Fix and I can workout every single day, but where I tend to struggle is my nutrition…so 21 Day Fix helped me with that! But now, my ultimate favorite and new soul mate workout would have to be Hammer & Chisel! It is 8 weeks long and the workouts range from around 20-40 minutes or so. The trainers are Sagi (who is the creator and trainer for Body Beast) and of course the lovely, Autumn (creator and trainer for 21 Day Fix). I loved how they mixed it up, some days you were doing a video with Autumn and the next was Sagi. There were sooo many workouts so I never knew which was next or got in a repeating rut. The weights I used ranged from the resistance band, to 5 pounders up to 17.5. I would love to try this program again and up my weights even more! Now, you don’t necessarily need a workout bench, they say that you can use a stability ball or floor for some of the moves. And I can’t really do pull ups or have the area for that so I followed the modifier and went with the resistance band. Which actually worked like a charm because I just put it around my railing post and it was perfect! There are 2 10 minute ab workouts each from both trainers that are awesome as well!
So overall I would definitely recommend this fitness program to anyone! I did drink Shakeology every day along with my workout, I used Beachbody’s performance line and also the boosts in my Shakeo. I didn’t eat clean and follow the plan 100%, even though I did do better than on a normal day so I am still pretty proud of myself! I know I would have killed it if I did stick to it, but oh well…next time! I’m also still breastfeeding and I went up a bracket for the nutrition plan.
I would love to share some pictures that I just took on Sunday for before and afters, as well as some of my meal prep I did the last week and some fun extra pictures I took of my workouts and with Mason who is now 9 months!
I lost 2.7 pounds and 5.5″ total. That doesn’t sound like a lot, but I can definitely tell how my clothes fit and in the pictures. This is why taking before measurements and pictures or “goodbye photos” are so critical when starting up a new program!
These last 2 pics are insane! It definitely shows what our bodies are capable of doing and changing in so many ways!
